Hi folks;
I need some pointers here. I have a cable provider service hookup in my residence for my TV. In my house I have several TV's. All cable are hooked up legally, the rest are OTA TV's
Here is my present setup;
- My service comes into the house and is connected to the converter in my den.
-off the converter the lead goes to a splitter.
-one part of the splitter goes to the Den TV
-the other part goes to a amplifier that goes to my attic.
-in the attic I have a additional splitter to merge a attic attenna with the cable signal that feeds a remote TV monitor.

This allows me to watch either OTA or cable.

In other rooms of my house I wish to try to duplicate this.

Especially since the recent mandated trashing of Analog TV's ( I receive a very waek signal with the converters) I am at a loss how to supply the basic signal to the ither TV's without enriching the local cable company.

Also how do I throw a VCR into the mix at the den?

Can anyone enlighten me on setting up a signal distribution network for my house.

Now with the recent

You'll need an OTA converter box for each TV, or all TVs will have to watch the same OTA channel. If you have digital cable the TVs may be able to pick up basic services, but you'll need a digital cable box for every TV in order to watch digital cable.

The VCR can be inserted as it always has been, by pulling the cable out of the TV, putting it into the VCR input, and installing a jumper between the VCR and TV.
