We are doing a kitchen remodel and we removed the backsplash today. After we pulled it off there are exposed screws coming up from under the counter top. We are keeping the existing counter top and we are putting up a tile acksplash so the screws must be flush with the counter surface. Any suggestions on how to cut the screws?

Could you not just remove the screws from under the countertop?

If they are gyproc screws just break them off ( very brittle so they snap very easy ) A normal wood screw will do the same if you use pliers to bend back and forth but not as quick as the forementioned. As mentioned already....unscrew from the bottom if you can get at them.
