I'm using a Vista 20p. When I enter my code and press 2 "Away" - the system counts down then sets the alarm to "stay". Any idea why it does this? I also have a touchpad that is doing the same thing.
I'm sure it something simple. Didn't do this before.

It is a false alarm feature. You really should not be arming to away, when you are still in the house, right? To circumvent this feature, do one of the following:

Open an entry door after arming to away to trick the panel

Disable the "auto-stay" feature in programming

Create a zone-list for "night-stay" (allows you to activate certain motion detectors, i.e. basement, while deactivating motions that you may trip.
