Outdoor Power Equipment and Small Engines - Help Please!!!!!!!

I went to the above address Jacks Small Engines Parts Search Database (http://www.jackssmallengines.com/searchdb2.cfm)
to buy a 54423 bearing. Number comes up not valid. My snowblower is out of commission right in the heart of winter. Anyone know where I can now find a 54423 bearing for a Sears/Craftsman 536.918900 snowblower?

Which bearing is it? Where does it go? I tried to find it on the Sears site. I did find 54424 which is the auger shaft bearing and has been discontinued from sears. Is this a ball bearing or a bushing?

I checked my sources and they all show the bearing no longer available. See if you have a Grainger Industrial Supply near you and see if they can match bearings. Most bearings are actually standard sizes. If you can get the dimensions from the bearing, it may be possible to find a suitable replacement online.

That bearing is replaced by 54423MA which may work if you can find it. 3/4 ID

Do you have the old bearing out? If so, you should be able to see a number on the rubber seal.(will need a magnafieing glass to see it) You should see a manufacturer name (NTN, faf, etc) and a number (62032rs,6303rs, etc). The number is an industry standard number and you should be able to find on at your local auto parts store.

54423 is also 54423ma and is not available anywhere that I can find. Last available date was 10-07. The bearing is not really a bearing but a bushing. Bushing is a triangle, black plastic with 3 mounting holes and a center ID 3/4" If anyone can locate then I can use 2. Thanks Joe

I think that you could use 9517MA as a replacement it is a very similar bearing. Let us know if it works. Not very expensive give it a try. I would order 4 and use them back to back.
