good morning, I have intermittent ignition with my gas fired steam boiler. Heres the problem, it sparks over and over but no flame. also, when i touch the spark wire, I get shocked. What is wrong. please help. it's getting cold

Several things could be the problem but based on what your stating the insulation is probably bad on the wire. When this happens the wire will ground out before it gets to the burner.
