I have a honeywell smart valve on my furnace. Sometimes my furnace refuses to kick in, until I turn the thermostat off, then back on. Then it will run as it should, sometimes for weeks, sometimes only for an hour or so. The smart valve seems to be blinking out a code 63. Does any know what this is trying to tell me? My furnace is recently out of warranty and I'm not very pleased with the local HVAC guys that did some warranty work on it last year. (they replaced the smart valve) Any help would be appreciated

The installation manual for a typical Honeywell Smartvalve is at

The diagnostic code for you 6-3 problem is listed on page 14.

The diagnostic code is saying that the pressure switch on the furnace opened and the burner was shut off because of that.

A common cause of that problem would be a flame sensor on the pilot assembly that gets covered with oxides from being in the burner flame and needs to be cleaned. I use a wire brush for that.

Thanks for the link and the advice. I cleaned it up and also found a little dust in the hose for the airflow proving. It's run for a full day now, if I have any more trouble with it, I'll try the routes they suggest checking.
Thanks again!
