I've installed many NX-4 and NX-6 or NX-8. We always use a basic install: One keypad and two - four motion detectors. Nothing else.
The latest install I ordered the NX-4v2 because it would do what I needed - two motion detectors. I installed the system and the service light stays lit.
This is how I have it wired:
-AC: To Outlet
-AC: To Outlet
-Earth: [unused]
-AUX1: [unused]
-SIREN: To Bell
-COM: To Bell
-SMOKE+: [unused]
-AUX2: [unused]
-DATA: {resistor}To Keypad Data
-COM: To Keypad -
-POS: To Keypad, Motion Detectors +
-Z4: {resistor} to Common
-COM: To Z4 & Z5
-Z3: {resistor} to Common
-Z2: {resistor} to Motion Detector NC
-COM: To Motion Dectors -
-Z1: {resistor} to Motion Detector NC
The keypad and the motion detectors are what came with the fast pack from the Home Security Store. Is there something I have to do with the SMOKE+ terminal or something?
Thanks in advance

Take the resistor off of the keypad connection.
I am assuming that you are connecting the power - and relay common together on those motions?

I haven't double-checked my other installs, but I was just sure I remembered putting a resistor there... but you are right of course - that was it.
Much appreciated!
