Is it possible to add a door sensor myself to a First Alert system. If so can you help with where to purchase (probably online) and more importantly how to wire the new sensor on existing system. I have a FA168C-GP security system. Thanks in advance.

If it's a hardwired system, and you are trying to add it to an existing zone, it's pretty simple.
If you are trying to add a new hardwired or wireless zone to the system, the learning curve is much steeper.
In the latter case you need a 2 line alpha keypad to access the programming menus, (and for a FA, standard ademco keypads don't work).
