Those brown crickets are camel crickets. They find their way into your home in early fall. If you have two or three, swat them with flyswatter and flush down the toilet. You can spray along perimeter of basement with residual insecticide for insects. It is best to deter where they are coming in and seal them out. If you have a basement door to the exterior, that's usually where they find entry under a doorway that does not properly fit and/or does not have weather stripping to seal the gap beneath the door. During the 'buggy' months when bugs are about, a regular residual insecticide applied along perimeter of structure on foundation and beds or grass tends to keep most insects and their predators at bay.
