Hello all

Having recently separated from my wife, I was wanting to delete her alarm code and change mine.

I was not able to locate the MASTER CODE anywhere in my documentation, but located information on this forum about accessing the programming by turning system off at power, disconnecting battery and then restarting and within 50 seconds, hitting "*" and "#" simulateneously. Then #20 for what must be my master code.

I now have a code, but -
a) I have a CHECK warning on "09" that won't go away
b) I can BYPASS the "09"
c) And the code doesn't seem to work as I can't delete the old user codes, or change the master code to something else. When I try by entering MASTER CODE + 8 + 2 + NEW CODE + NEW CODE, I only get two numbers through the second new code when it beeps at me 3 times... 2 digits too early!!

Any suggestions???? Please???? This is driving me nuts.

The arm/disarm code you were originally using was, most likely, the master code. What you obtained was the _installer_ code.
You could have changed the code with the one you had, but the installer code will do the job also.

I suspect that you tried to change the code without exiting program mode with *99, and in the process turned on the RF system type in *22 without having a wireless receiver, and possibly altered other programming elements.

My best advice is to go back into programming with [installer code] + 8 + 0.

Then use the the programming form and the View function (# + location number) to sort out what you may have changed.

Okay, thanks.

I went to try and do that...

The code I got first time round is not allowing me into the programming.

I can only access the programming using the turn off trick.

I am the second houseowner, but I don't remember how I programmed a code for my wife and I...

Grrr.....

These things shouldn't be so difficult!

You are a dead-set legend - I think you were right about the RF.

I reprogrammed a few functions, and now all is good!

I have a new installer code, master code, and a single new access code.

Thanks for your help!
