My girlfriend has standard, vertical blinds, with the cord that turns the blinds made of little connected metal balls. The cap piece on the end broke off, and the cord was pulled enough so that one end is stuck up in the top part. Is there any way I can get it out, preferably without taking everything apart?

Is the mechanism damaged? I had a similar problem but my cog had broken off inside I had to order a new mechanism last week and the shop I bought it from wanted me to buy the whole blind again so I looked online and got one from NoAds.com. I spoke to a guy in their customer services dept.

Best to replace, not really much you can do with pulls, if it was a twist maybe. Beer 4U2
