I have sheetrock arches through out my home and would like to dress them up. I can do some simple home improvements but have limited experience. I found an arch kit made by a company called Curvemakers. It appears to be easy enough and the price is much better than a local trim guy quoted. Has anyone ever used one of these kits? Is it as easy as it seems?
Thanks

i got a contractor to do ours. it looks horrible. they had to make a drawing of the wide door way to order the rubber molding. they put it up with a nail gun & it made dimples & ruined the molding. they painted the molding & now it has turned brown on the nail heads. contractor came by & said to put kiltz on it & repaint. they put it up wrong & i,m trying to find someone on line to tell me the proper way. i was going to do all the windows in the other rooms with curved door ways but after i saw the mess i stopped them.

I contacted Curvemakers directly and was able to get a CBS 4 arch kit from them. I was lucky and they just happened to have one of the sizes I needed. I recieved it this Monday and after work I glued the columns together. Tuesday after work I installed the arch way. Wow! what a difference! It went in so easy over my existing arches. I suggest you give the folks at Curvemakers a call like I did.
