Does anyone know what ratio a old jacobsen 2 stroke uses? I dont really know anything about it. Its probably built in the 1970s. We already have about 14" of snow and more on the way. I had 50:1 in it but I have no idea what it should use.

With all the advances in 2 cycle oil, use the ratio that is on the oil that you buy. Some of the new synthectics use a 100:1 mix. I would use at least 50:1 oil as this will reduce spark plug fouling and produce less smoke.
The manufacturer most likely says to use 20:1, but that was in the 70's which was all they had then.
Use the 50:1 oil that you have.
