Help!

I have replaced my old thermostat, rectangular with mercury capsule inside with a new Honeywell. I have a total of 4 wires, this is where I am confused. In my haste when reading instructions I understood I needed to remove the jumper between RC and RH, so I did, the red wire was labled both with an RH and RC so I installed the wire into the RC connector, now only the ac works blower comes on for heat but no heat, when I swithced the wire and installed to RH heat came on, now I have no cold air. Of course I threw the jumper out, should I have left installed?

Yes you should have left the jumper in place. The RC and RH stand for Cool, Heat

No worries, just take the red wire you have run to the RC terminal strip some more insulation off the wire and run the same wire to both RH & RC terminals.

Thanks Mr. Happy! You may have just made my day. I asked one of my coworkers and he explained how to use the one wire and fit into both terminals. Am anxious to try when I get home. Will update as to the heat/cool situation when complete.:):)
