Entertainment Center: TVs, Stereos, VCRs and DVDs - Av/tv/dvdr/home cinema connection advice needed!!!

Hi Guys, I need connection advice for the items below, I am a bit of a technophobe so please keep it simple;

LG 37" LCD TV
(2 Scarts, 1 DTV out Scart, 1 HDMI, Comp, Optical + assorted other ins and outs.

LG DVDR Upscaling Recorder
(2 Scarts, 1 HDMI, Comp out, Optical Out, Coaxial Out S video and L & R Audio out, RF in/Out

Sky Digibox (Standard)
TV Scart, VCR Scart, Video + L & R Audio Out [RF in/Out I think]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Panasonic PT 460EB DVD Receiver
1 x Scart, 1 x HDMI, OPTICAL In, L & R Audio In (I think its in)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

I need to connect all of these up to get best sound, picture. My only signal source is Sky (Standard) I do not have an ariel connection..

Video connections Best to worst:
HDMI/DVI -> Component -> S-Video -> RCA -> RF

Audio connections best to worst:
Optical cable -> Digital coax ->RCA

The best way to possibly connect all of this would be one connection to the TV. So connect everything to the receiver, then connect the receiver to the TV.

I'd use the Scart connectors between the Sky and TV (Scart 1 or Primary), and the HDMI between the DVD and the TV.

RCA L&R from the Sky to the receiver, and optical from the DVD to the receiver.

If and when you switch to an HD Skybox, use the HDMI for that and the component for the DVD.
