Hello all- I'm hoping that someone can help me decide between these two softeners. I was going to go with a 32k size for a two person household on filtered well water, hardness 18, no iron, in Florida. This will be installed in a "doghouse" next to the house(well protected from the elements- not so much from curious bugs...), where my dead Kenmore now lays in repose. Plumbing willl be easy from existing 3/4" pipes; outlet there too.

Can anyone differentiate between these two units as far as ease of programming, performance and maintenance?
(esp programming- I'm hoping that the initial set up will be as easy as the Kenmores "plug and play" was)
