Kitchen Large Electric Appliances - GE Profile washer WPRE6100GWT

I've had no luck finding ratings/reviews of this washer. Does anyone have experience with this appliance? This washer was delivered eight days ago, and I ran about five loads of laundry with no problems. Today (eight days later), I ran one load with no problem; however, the second load washed and quit, with no spin action. Some of the water drained, then the timer turned off. I turned the cycle selector knob to "Drain and Spin" and pushed "Start" again; the timer showed "9" minutes and the machine hummed, but did not spin or drain. After about three minutes, I smelled what I thought was something burning, so I unplugged the machine. I called the dealer and asked them to pick up the machine, as it is defective. The dealer said GE would not agree to have the machine returned and said they'd send a service technician. An eight-day-old washing machine should not require service after washing about seven loads of laundry. Any advise?

tell that dealer if he doesnt let you exchange it for a whirlpool, you as well as everyone you know will never buy anything there again.

that machine is a piece of crap IMO. the inverter boards on the motor and the mode selector/drive shaft are often failing.

I agree with David, junk also would go with a LG or Whrilpool based machine, (Whrilpool, Kenmore, (Maytags, less than a year old))
