I want to install a doggie door on the door that leads into my garage from the house, using a Bosch 6.4-Amp Jigsaw. However, the door is one of those very heavy/dense doors (not your typical bedroom door). I am wondering if the jigsaw will be powerful enough to cut through it. What do you guys think?

Welcome to the forums! The jigsaw will cut through it, you just need to make sure your blades are new and long enough (3 1/2" or better). Determine the cut out dimensions of your door using the template provided. Drill 5/16" holes in each corner and connect the dots. Before you do all this, check with your local authorities, as the door you describe may be a fire rated door. The doggie door opening will negate the effectiveness of the rating. Does the door close by itself using a spring hinge?

If it was me, I'd use a Skilsaw to cut the hole, and use the jigsaw to finish the corners where the Skilsaw won't cut. But if you don't have a Skilsaw... :wall:
