One of our Bedrooms TV's has a year and half old 32in HD Toshiba TV with built in DVD player that 'sucks' the disc inside the TV sideways, ( no drawer type). Anyway there is a disc stuck inside and will not eject and will not play either. Short of taking the set in for repair work., would like to attempt a quick easy way to eject., Anyone had any experience in this area?
I tried to use a large flat butter knife to slide in and press but which way and how much pressure?
When I unplug TV for five minutes and plug back in- the dvd player is clicking away and displaying on the screen 'remove disc.'
There is a series of screws around the perimeter of the set and in unscrewign all the screws and the back cover then comes off would there be any hidden dangers or tricky manoeuvers in getting to the sidepanel dvd player..??

It is usually a complete unit mounted inside.Don't stick anything in the slot to try to get it out. You'll end up damaging the unit and have to replace it.If you are mechanical, then you can remove the unit.Take the cover off, then manually eject the disc. That means finding the small motor that runs the mechanics and turning it by hand.Very slow process, but if your patient and take your time to get the disc out , then reinstall it and it will reset itself and should be ok.
