I have a front loader 417.44102300 that the belt broke. I believe it was made by Frigidare I have a replacement belt of the same number, but it seems small, Is there a way to loosen something so that the belt will fit? Thanks for the answers as My wife is kinda upset. Bill

Put belt on motor pulley and turn drum pulley while holding belt on pulley. belt will go on. There is no adjustments for it.
Never seen a belt break is the basket making noise when you spin it by hand. Bearings go bad on these.

No the drum turn easily and smoothly it made a noise when belt broke and on the next load it wouldn't spin. Thanks Bill

Thanks for the help, I have almost got it on the drum and it slips off just as it is going in place. I think I need another hand or pair of vise grips. Bill

dont use vise grips you may damage the belt. use those plastic zip ties to hold the belt to the big pulley then rotate it around.
