What is best way to clean slightly tarnished (in small areas) lacquered brass ? Need to remove old lacquere to relacquere? If so how ?

The brass can be stripped with lacquer thinner. Clean with Brasso (or similar product). Recoat with an aerosole lacquer. Home Depot stocks a lacquer finish made for metal, or visit:
