I'm renting a house with an under-the-sink triple stage RO filtration system. It seems to be a Frankenstein assembly, so I can't really determine the manufacturer. From what I gather on the internet, it looks like a fairly standard under-the-sink filter unit.

I am currently experiencing two problems:

1. Low pressure and quantity. I think it may be a low or leaking storage tank, but haven't got far enough to check the air pressure charge in the tank.

2. I'm also concerned about a constant stream of water I can see through the hole in the back of the air gap faucet. It isn't leaking out of the hole, I just noticed it running in there while I was searching for the culprit of the low pressure. Is this normal due to the filtration process? Seems like a lot of water right down the drain, not to mention the annoying drain gurgling.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, the drainage is normal until the tank is full. If the unit is equiped with a automatic shut off, it should stop when the tank is full.Open your faucet and empty as much water as you can from the storage tank and pressurize it to approx. 7 psi. That should help your pressure and quanity. Your tank is water logged now and your bladder in it could be broken. If after you fill with air to 7 psi you feel or hear air coming from your open faucet or all the air spits out after you open the faucet on the first tank fill, your bladder in the tank is broken and you need a new tank.' Good Luck TJ:thumbup:

Thanks for the reply. Looks like the bladder is broken as there is water coming from the air valve. Landlord ordered a new one, hopefully I'll be back up and running soon.
