I have sand blasted all the paint off of an antique iron bed. Now I would like to put some kind of a finish on it, not paint. Maybe a "pateena" finish? Any suggestions?

One or more glazes top coated with a clear acrylic would be one way to go. If the bed frame is now relatively corrosion free, this would afford a world of colors to "tone down" the look, and move the color toward the general scheme of the room it's in.

Anyone else have any ideas?
