Hi everyone, new here.
I need a suggestion of what to put on these windows. I think I want shades - drapes seem to keep the light out of such a small room during the day; curtains seem too 'busy'. Right now I have the white plastic shades, temporarily. Lighting-wise, they're perfect. Decor wise, they're not. I dont' like 'window treatment' frilly type stuff. I'd prefer something utilitarian. I have lots of black wrought iron around, so *could* use a black wrought iron rod, but it's not necessary. I was thinking of brown roman shads to match the sofa, but I'm not so sure. It's a very small wall.
Can anyone be so kind as to give me your opinion as to what I can use on these windows, based on the above info?

Any advice most gratefully received.

Hi and welcome to the forum! Panels would only work if you hung one at each window and tied it back towards the outside, since there's not enough room to hang two at each window. Tying them back would also allow for more light. Since you don't sound too excited about panels, you probably won't like them, so maybe stick with shades or blinds.
Either wood blinds or romans (fabric or hard) would work nicely. If I went with wood blinds, I'd probably match the floor and if I went with fabric romans, I think I'd match the green on the other wall, rather than the sofa.
Not sure if you're going custom with a roman or not, but if you are, you could also have them match the trim, but have a banding added to match the other wall or the sofa.

Thanks for the suggestions! I think I came to the right place - your name suggests you've done this before ;-)
What do you mean by 'panels' ? Sorry - new to all this!
Best wishes
Michele

Sorry, :o panel is just another word and maybe a more modern term, for draperies. :D
