Help. I have an amana gas dryer that works perfect for the first 5 min. then the flame goes out and will not come back on. At that piont the timer stops and the dryer runs forever with no heat. I have already put in a timer and checked the thermostats with an ohmmeter. All seems OK, but still have a problem, I can't afford a new one yet.

If you let it sit awhile and then try it again will the heat come back on?

its the coils on the valve. they only work when they are cold when they go bad

yes, it sure does. Works just fine if it sets 10 mins.

Hi Shonda

They can be confusing. Take a look at Appliance repairs, Appliancehelp, Appliances, repairs to dryers washers dishwashers fridges repairs microwaves ge maytag kenmore frigidaire westinghouse inglis, appliance how to take apart information, purchasing an appliance help, model number help, (http://www.applianceaid.com)
I think they have some pics of how dryer belts go on.
