I would like to install a nice storm door on my townhouse, but am not quite sure where to install it. I looked at the storm door measuring guides on the Larson and Andersen/Emco sites and it seemed pretty straightforward, but my door frame does not seem to have the standard brick mold for the storm door install (see pics). Any ideas?

Welcome to the forums! I can't tell regarding measurements, but the storm door will fit just to the inside of the fluted trim. You will need to measure inside to inside across this point as well as measure the flange just to see if the flange of the door will sit properly on the flat. Let us know what you find out and if we can help with the install.

I just added another picture that includes some door measurements. Any advice? If I install it just inside the fluted trim I don't think I will have anywhere to install the rain cap.

You may want to contact customer service at the companies you mentioned. I know Andersen/Emco make inside mount kits for some of their doors, but I'm not sure how it would affect the measurements or the raincap issue.
Actually, I'm not even positive about what the inside mount does, but IIRC its for situations similar to yours.

I know you have your reasons, but I stand back and look at your entry and imagine what a storm door would do to it. My daughter had one on hers. They use the side door more, so I removed it and she really liked the curb appeal of the pretty door rather than the storm door.

yeah, actually my wife wants it more than I do. A few of our neighbors have storm doors installed and they look nice and don't really detract from the overall appearance of the doorway. We are looking at a fullview storm door something like this:
