Hi,

My direct drive top-loading washer sometimes won't spin and when it doesn't it makes a clicking noise like something's slipping. It does agitate normally. I've seen many similar posts for this washer but the difference is that when it won't spin, if I open the lid and close it again it spins successfully EVERY TIME! What could the problem be?

It sounds like you have a bad lid switch. Put washer in spin ,turn on, open lid, put your hand under switch and push up, use pen and push down on lever through slot in top, If washer spins on you have a bad switch. please keep us posted

sounds to me like a bad timer. it is suppose to pause for 3 secs to let the gearcase shift from neutral to spin.
