I am finishing my basement. Code is that I need a vapor barrier on the concrete block. I've been told that rigid foam board can be used instead of plastic sheeting.
Anyone have any experience with this?
I just don't want to do both & create a double barrier.

The issue is more complex than it appears. Here is a link, that if you dig through it, you will find a cross section similar to your proposed construction. It may give you some insight as to what you need.
