Hi all - This is what I have from my Ariens/Tec Snowblower:

Model: 922024
Serial: 7223B

HS40-5544SE (found under electric start)

Any idea what my replacement carb # is?? :(

That engine number isn't in the parts lookup please recheck it and post the numbers that are on the carb.

The only HS40-5544 with an E at the end is HS40-55440E

Carb Part #= Tecumseh 631794A (replaces 631907)
Carburetor

If not check your engine number again

The number was rusted out, so that "8" could have been wrong. (I'll re-check it tomorrow) Also, here's a number off the carb: 5707F28. I hope this helps...:thumbup:

Your original carb is 631907 so cpgixxer guessed correctly. Carb kit is 31840.

Thank you guys for the excellent help in identifying my carburetor. I'll be up and running by Tuesday. This site is too cool!!:cool:
