I want to put carpet tiles in a finished attic to be used as a playroom for my son. Currently there is only very old (probably 1920's original) tongue and groove subflooring down. The general condition of the subflooring is decent, considering the age, but there are some rotted spots causing some minor gapping in between some of the boards.
Should I just lay 18" tiles over the top of this subfloor, or should I be laying down some plywood first?
Thanks in advance!
