I have a whirpool side by side model number ED2GTQXKQ00and the ice maker will not make solid cubes, they are a shell of a cube with no liquid inside,there seems to be a ice buildup in the bottom of the plastic,ice cube dispenser. When I buy ice and put it into the dispenser it all freezes into a large clump.

When I buy ice and put it into the dispenser it all freezes into a large clump. You are not maintaining proper freezer temperature (-5* to 10*).
Make sure your condenser is clean and you have no frost build-up on your evaporator. :)
