My whirlpool gold quiet wash plus dishwasher is causing me some troubles.
it seems the disposal blade is getting caught on the screen and either seizing the opperation of the drain/disposal or it is making a really horrid noise (more than likely putting too great of a load on the motor) i have trouble shot this thing down to knowing it is the blade against the screen, ran drain without any of the above attached so it was just the blade spinning- no noise out of ordinary no grinding no seizing noise. Ran with the black circular directing disk (looks like a part to vacuum cleaner) and no noise. Put the screen on and then the black part (normally goes ontop of the screen. and it makes noise like crazy.
If anyone can give me any advice hints tips something to look for it would be greatly appreciated. The major contributor i can think of is one of the kids lego bits made it through the screen and appears to have been chopped at least once dont know if this offset the blade if i need to do something. can anybody describe what the spring attached to the disposal blade should look like etc?
