This site is awesome so I'll say thanks in advance of my questions. I did a search and found a post that states if the snubber ring gets wet or oily, it can cause the washer tub to be out of balance. I just replaced the motor pulley and belt on my Atlantis Model MAV6257AWW and now it spins out of balance. My questions are:
1) Will tilting the machine back to access the bottom cause the snubber ring to get wet (there was some water in the outer tub that I could not syphon out)?
2) If yes to question number one, will it eventually dry and get back to normal or do I need to replace it as well?
3) I'll check but I think the machine is level but will doing any wash tonight do any harm?
Again, thanks for any input. Happy New Year to all! Beer 4U2
**EDIT** Nevermind, when I moved the washer back into its position, it spun fine. Doing my test load now and getting a funny noise. Could it be the new belt breaking in?

I would replace the snubber. Go to web site Appliance Parts Pros.com Discount Appliance Parts – Appliance Repair Parts (http://www.appliancepartspros.com) and put in the search box "Maytag Performa washer snubber replacement" an article I wrote.

Maytag has a problem with snuber ring an springs, It is recommend to replace the 6 springs and snuber ring at same time.
