We have your typical home washing machine set-up (machine trains via a hose into a large utility sink). About once every few years we screw up and leave something in the sink, which cause a Michigan version of Niagra Falls. Does anyone out there know of a product what would kill the power to the washing machine if the tub gets close to overflowing?
Thanks in advance.

Sprinkler systems have a water sensor that might bre mused to do what your trying. look under sink you may have enough room to tap in a new drain line with a j trap and not ever have to worry about overflows.

Thanks, I'll look into both suggestions.
