Just picked up a brand new Honda 1132TAS snowblower yesterday got it home fired it up and have a problem with surging /hunting at high idle only and also it has no real variation between low idle and fast. When I move the throttle lever from slow to fast there is nothing happening in between the slow and fast setting then when it gets to fast it jumps up a bit only to hunt or surge up and down..Any ideas? the dealer is quite a distance and I want to get some ideas first before I contact them.

Could be a governor problem or a carburetor problem.

I suggest you return it or ask if the will do an onsite repair.

I would bring it right back to them and have it fixed. It is under warranty. If you start fooling with it, you could void your warranty. The problem may be more than a simple turn of the screw and you may end up having other problems down the road. That blower is too expensive to void teh waranty.
