Okay, I am new to this so bare with me and I will tell you everything I know. We live in a condo which seems to have have radiator/boiler type heating. The old thermostat did not seem to control the the temperature very well and thermometer never seemed accurate. The old thermostat is a White-Rodgers 1F35-910?

There are only three wires: a black one we think is Y, a red one we think is R and a yellowish/brown one we think is R.

I'm not sure if we have the wires connected labeled properly or connected properly to the Rite Temp 6030, but we don't seem to be controlling the heat at all. Also I am wondering about jumpers? Should they all be covered? Any help will be appreciated.

I hope you didn't try to turn on the system??
Did you make note of what letter the wire went onto the old t-stat??
Did you follow the install manual on page 22?

Yes, we did try to start the system. I take it that is a problem. The original wiring was as follows:

The yellow wire was connected to Y6, the red to R5, and black to W.
We did try the follow the installation guide, but to no avail.

Ok,
Red wire to Rh.
Black wire to W
Yellow wire to A.
Then set the jumpers to as they show you on page 22 of the manual.

I mistakenly gave you the wrong info (which my wife was all too glad to point out) The red went to RH, the black to Y6, and the yellow to 4. I called rite temp and they told us the correct configuration is Y6 to A, R to RH, and 4 to W. I still want to thank you for your help.
