hi, a DIY newbie here and just about to purchase a lovely Victorian house in London. just seen the energy rating and its not looking great at all. Our budget for improvements is tight so we are looking at ways to keep the warmth in so any advice would be brill!

we have an attic bedroom with only a small door to access the eaves, i cant see a way of adding fibre insulation, so was wondering whats the most effective,(and cheapest) way of doing internal insulation for this room?

is there anything that i can add to the walls? these are just brick with no cavity. the rooms arent huge so is there anything that i can do for the walls without losing a great deal of space?

thanks!
