Need advice on a couple of issues I have on my 272XP Husky.
1) The chain gets tight as the engine is revved up.
2) The crankshaft does not spin freely, almost as if something was causing it to spin a couple of turns but it stops like a brake is applied to it.
Any ideas?
Thanks

#1 sounds like the chain is too tight, the chain brake is on, or other obstructions or defects in the chain/bar/clutch system. #2 is probably related to and caused by the same problem that is causing #1.

Inspect the bar groove and chain for abnormal wear or damage that could cause binding.
