HI,
Maytag washer fills with water but wont do anything else. Tried to manually depress door switch, same problem. Washer model is LAT8415AAE. I am somewhat technically inclined and have a DVM. If you can help me troubleshoot this problem and possibly avoid a service call, I would be grateful.
Thanks,
Ken

After the macine fills with water the water level control has to switch positions from empty tub to full tub.
Maytag Washers how to access the washer parts, leaking, pumping, no spin, no agitation, tests, common trouble makers for Maytag washers (http://www.applianceaid.com/maytagwash.html#care)
Scope this out for help. Also, see if the wiring diagram is on the machine, you can use it to troubleshoot.

I would check the lid switch behind the control panel, look for a mis-alighned switch and make sure both switches activate when the lid is closed. If bad, order the lid switch part #
