Hello I an intrested in installing a set of french doors were a window is currently, my house is in FL so like many its a block exterior. Above the widow there is a solid block header,It looks like I am going to need to cut into the bottom of the header about 6 inches to fit these doors where the window whould have been. My question is what type of reninforcement should I use to go around the frame work above the new french doors?

Raise the lintel or purchase a custom door. Your way is a disaster. If you proceed with it you may destabilize the wall. Seek the advice of an engineer.

I agree with 2000, your lintel will need to be at least 8' long to span the distance across the new door and onto the adjacent blocks. An engineer can assess the circumstances and help with the feasibility. Removing the block and the existing header across the window is not recommended without first building a false wall to hold up the house while you make the changes.
