If having someone hold * + # _while_ power is restored doesn't work, then your only real choice is replacing the motherboard.

Chum, _that_is_ the defeat for the standard installer lockout. If it was locked out using the download software, the only defeat is the original software, with the installer's specific code, that locked it out in the first place.

Yes, it's an egregious business practice on the part of the installer; but sometimes you rolls the dice and get snake-eyes.

Either find the original installer and pay them to unlock it, or replace the motherboard. Period.
