Ok, One, how hard is to change a friction disc?

Two, I have a part number of IH 549015-R1 for the part but cant find it anywhere. Is the part still avail?
Are friction discs similar and mught be able to use one from another model?

I'm not sure about the friction disc question exactly, but the model # of my International Cadet 268 is: 190412, Type: 076-01, Code 7211021. Hope this helps. I'll look into the friction disc problem.

I'm trying to fix the pull rope assembly on my snowblower. It was replaced once recently by the previous owner, but seems to have problems again. The rope comes out, but doesn't recoil properly, this I cannot start my snowblower when I need it most.

I ordered one yesterday but I do not know how to change it yet. If you make progress let me know. My email is lujacques@verizon.net.
