I have a Companion 5250 KW generator which is about 10 years old and has had the Generator Head go bad. Parts are no longer available. It has a only about 5 hours on the engine. I have located a place where I can get a new generator head of equivilent size, but they need to know the type of shaft my engine has. In looking at the assembly, I cannot see a way to get to the bolts that hold on the generator armature and fan. How do I remove the old generator head from the engine?
