I read that not all Ademco Vista panels are compatible with the Vista ICM. I could use some help trying to figure out what panel I have. I am planing to install the Vista ICM and I want make sure it's compatible with my system before I order it. My touchpads say Security Manager 2000. My installation and programming guides say Safewatch Pro and Security Manager. The sticker on the processor says WA20ADT-1. The diagram on the inside cover to the panel box says Security Manager & Safewatch Pro summary of connections. Your help is appreciated.

with the adt panel do you have the installer code and you may be locked out

Your panel is a modified Vista 20se and the SE series panels are specifically listed as not compatible with Vista ICM.

up grade the main unit to a 20p to start

Is there any difference between a Vista 21iP and a Vista 20P with the Vista ICM?

Not really, some of the features of the Vista ICM are built into the 21IP, but most likely not the ones you are most after.
