Not sure if this is the right place to post this question.....
I'm in a townhouse, built over a crawlspace. One corner of the living room has frost forming on the baseboard, and just above it.
About a 10 inch area of the floor (laminate) in this area is very cold to the touch as well.
This corner of the house is exterior/not joined to another unit. I looked outside, it's above ground & I don't see anything strange. Just foundation (not cracked) and then the siding above it. I'm just perplexed.
I've got the RH at acceptable levels; this frost was there yesterday when it was about 20 degrees out.
Anyone have any ideas about this? I appreciate your insight.. thanks! Beer 4U2

Did you check the crawlspace around that area to see if alot of air is getting in there? Is the crawl insulated? Do you have vents in there that are open?

The vents are not open - but I haven't gotten into the crawl to actually take a look to see if there is other air getting in... the crawl has *some* insullation.... but not sure about that corner in particular. Checking all of that will be the first order of business, thank you for helping.

It sounds like you're lacking insulation there. You should try to access the space directly. If you can, easiest method would be to buy a few cans of "great stuff" canned spray foam from home depot, and seal any cracks you can see that likely lead outside. seal all airleaks first. next you could try adhering a layer of pink fiberglass insulation to the underside of that part of the floor, or even coating it with a layer of the "great stuff"...that is the stickiest stuff on the planet, and if you do it slowly it can be done (may not look pretty, but will work).
