Just wanting know how to address the Ademco 6150 keypad and then once the keypad is addressed how do I program the alarm system to recognize the address. Also I would like add a new point to the system. I installed a door and and then put a set of alarm contacts. Like to know if someone could guide thru the process. Thanks

First, websearch using the phrase "vista 20p installer manual".
(This system is a modified Vista 20p).
When you first power up the keypad, press 1 + 3 at the same time, and let go. enter 17*.
Then go into system programming from your existing keypad:
[installer code] + 8 + 00
*190 10
*99
This activates address 17 for the system
You can do the programming change before you actually do the hardware connection and address the new keypad. The system doesn't actually care which order it's done in.

Thanks for the reply and that worked fine for the keypad but a couple of questions that I had. The keypad has a fire and police buttons, will I have to program them. My existing keypads has those buttons. I was wondering if the new keypad will pick up the data from the alarm system for those two buttons. Thanks

I _think_ those panic keys are preset. It's the 4th key that isn't specifically set for anything.
