First time posting on the forum and my first time ever installing an alarm. I recently Installed a DSC 1832 in my home. A summary of my system is as follows:

DSC 1832 - Control Panel
DSC PC5108 - 8 Zone Expander
DSC RFK 5500 - Keypad
DSC PK 5501 - Keypad
DSC Bravo 3DP - hardwired motion detector
DSC BV600 Bravo 6 - hardwired motion detector

The problem I have is that when I arm the system in "STAY" mode it does not bypass my motion sensors. After holding down the "Stay" button, the LCD messages are as follows;

1. Exit Delay in Progress
2. System armed in "AWAY" mode
3. Armed light goes red.

My Zones are Prgrammed as follows:

1. Front Door - 01 Delay
2. Garage Door - 01 Delay
3. Patio Door - 03 Instant
4. Patio Door - 03 Instant
5. Storage Room Door - 03 Instant
6. Motion Sensor - 04 Interior
7. Motion Sensor - 04 Interior
8-16. Windows - 03 Instant

Keypads were programmed as follows

5501 - 11 00 03 04 06 14 16
5500 - 18 00 03 04 06 14 16

System works perfectly fine in Away mode, but won't seem to bypass the Motions and says "Armed in Away Mode" on the keypad when 'Stay" is pressed. The only way I can bypass the motions is if I manually do it each time I arm the system.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

your motion sensor should be programmed 05, interior stay/away.

What programming options are available for a PIR that is covering the front door / keypad area with the situation being if you arm the system the PIR will now cause an alarm as you move from the keypad to the front door.

_any_ of the interior zone types "follow" the entry exit delay. In general, though, zone type 5 is the best choice.
