I have a Rheem furnace Mdl.#RGDD-06NC-ER. I have installed a new flame sensor. It has an electric pilot ignitor, which works fine. PROBLEM: The thermostat requests heat, the pilot ignitor lights the pilot, the flame sensor gets red hot, but does not trigger the gas to the burners??? The pilot just stays on. There is also what looks to be like a sensor mounted next to the gas valve with a pop out red button with one wire in and another wire out to another one of these sensors up in what I would call an exhaust vent. I have pushed the red button in twice so far (do not know exactly what pops it?) with no success of anything??? Any help would be greatly appeciated!
Thank you,
Johnny

If that red button is where I think it is, it is a roll out safety. If it pops, you have a problem which should be looked at by a professional service person. It could be as simple as a bad safety, but on the other hand it could also be serious. Please get it checked professionally.

Thank you for your reply. Apparently the new flame sensor I purchased is an Armstrong/Goodman, it looks exactly like the one I have (Robert Shaw), is not the correct one for my Rheem?! It was way way cheaper, so I got it. I will get a professional in to do their thing.
Thanks again,
Johnny
