:alarm: I just bought a new home and the Security System was already installed (GE NetworX NX-1300E). I don't have any Security codes.. just a User's Manual. Steam from my son's bathroom set off the Alarm tonight... My husband tried to stop the alarm and in the process has alarmed it. We ended up setting it off two more times because of opening the back door. I can't disarm the darn thing because I don't have any codes!! Help!! Don't want to wake the neighborhood and the kids by trying to leave the house in the morning!! Are there any manufacturer codes that I could try?

NX-1300e is the keypad model. You have either a NX-4, 6, or 8.

That said, the only thing you can do in the short term is to unplug the battery (in the metal can that the main system board resides in. It's usually in a closet or utility room.) and unplug the transformer that supplies AC power.

There is no backdoor code that will get around this thing being armed. See the recent NX-4 threads.
