I too am trying to hard-wire to the circuit board. I have the three neutrals, eac and hum spade connectors. When I place my volt meter on the hum and con24v, I get 24 volts whether the furnace is on or not. It would appear that the hum always acts as neutral, just like the three other neutrals. Same with the eac.

Its a Tappan furnace with Nordyne model FG6RA on the inside sticker. I can't find a schematic for this anywhere.

Any ideas?:wall:

EDIT: Ok, so I found the other male HUM spade. Above that row of spades it says "24VAC, 50/60 Hz, 0.25 A". However, when testing it, I get 120V  ... the humidifier came with a transformer but it is one you plug into a socket. Think I should just take it apart and mount it in the furnace then try running off that?

Since I have a "plug-in" transformer, can I do something like this?

yes, you can.. Odd that it says 24 volts, then it turns out it's 120 volts.. Good thing you've done some testing for power.
